Chris Kennon vs Lloyd Owens

Boxing Daily Report from the Awere Promotions promoted show at Michael Twaddell Gym, Lexington,  taking place on 06/04/2038:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Kentucky Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Kennon (8 - 10 - 1) who hails from Lexington, USA and Lloyd Owens(21 - 11 - 2) from Louisville, USA.  Both Kennon and Owens weighed in at 174 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Matthew Hatt, and the three ringside judges are Michael Harkins, John Erskin and Michael Balderston.  

Round 1: 

Owens is on target with a jab.  
Kennon sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Owens is on target with a left hook.  
Owens tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross.

Owens lands a left hook.  As Owens tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kennon dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Kennon.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
