Barry Mattix vs Johnny Cochren

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at Casino Miami Jai Alai, Miami,  taking place on 10/04/2038:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Barry Mattix (4(3) - 1) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Johnny Cochren(13 - 10 - 1) from New Haven, USA.  Both Mattix and Cochren weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sammy Bricken, and the three ringside judges are Theo Ines, Dave Kay and Cody Grant.

Mattix lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Cochren almost instantly gets his legs back.

Mattix is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Mattix lands a FIERCE right uppercut.  COCHREN HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like Cochren has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Cochren's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

Mattix is looking to keep his distance and drives a hard jab into his opponents face.

Cochren steps inside.  Mattix lands a mean right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE COCHREN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Mattix ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks Mattix's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mattix sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Mattix lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head, AND COCHREN IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Mattix steps to the outside.  Mattix lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND COCHREN IS DOWN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Mattix!
