Brett Steel vs Diego Hernandez

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Stanford Stadium, San Francisco,  taking place on 03/04/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Cold Brett Steel (57(42) - 4 - 2) who hails from Santa Clarita, USA and Diego Hernandez(24 - 19(8) - 2) from Bayamon, Puerto Rico.  Both Steel and Hernandez weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Salvas, and the three ringside judges are Malcolm Waldie, Mark Kinnock and Gethin Jasmin.  

Round 1: 

Steel is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Hernandez blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Steel advances into close range.  Hernandez throws a left hook, but Steel ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Hernandez pushes his forearm into Steel's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Steel lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  Steel ties up his opponent.  Steel is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Steel forces Hernandez to retreat into a neutral corner.  Steel lands a firm right hook.  Steel ties up his opponent.  Hernandez pushes his forearm into Steel's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Hernandez about fouling.  
Steel tries to land a right hook, but Hernandez blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Steel closes the distance.  Steel is on target with a left hook to Hernandez's body.  Steel wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Hernandez has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.

Steel gets on the inside and drives a solid left hook into Hernandez's body.  
Steel lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Steel attempts to land a right hook, but Hernandez slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Steel throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Steel holds on to his opponent.  Steel is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Steel and breaks the clinch.  
Steel connects with a right uppercut.  
Steel lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Steel is looking to close the distance.  Steel is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Steel EXPLODES a nasty left hook into his opponents face.  HERNANDEZ IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Hernandez now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.

Steel manages to force Hernandez into the corner.  Steel lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Steel is on target with a right hook to Hernandez's body.  
Steel lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Steel ties up his opponent.  Hernandez is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Steel lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Steel sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Steel lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Steel senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Steel lands a left uppercut followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND SENDS HERNANDEZ SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Hernandez now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Steel lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Hernandez quickly recovers. 
Steel advances into close range and is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Steel is on target with a firm left hook to Hernandez's liver.  
Hernandez attempts to land a jab, but Steel sidesteps and counters with a potent left hook.  HERNANDEZ WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Hernandez almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Hernandez manages to force Steel onto the ropes.  Steel EXPLODES a spiteful left hook into his opponents face.  HERNANDEZ IS HURT!  Hernandez quickly recovers. 
Hernandez hits home with a cross.  
Steel gets on the inside.  Steel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Hernandez throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Steel pivots to the left of his opponent.  Steel hits home with a firm right hook.  Steel holds on to his opponent.  Steel pushes his forearm into Hernandez's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Steel drives a solid left uppercut into Hernandez's body.  
Steel walks Hernandez onto the ropes.  Steel lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Steel lands with a solid jab.  Steel throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Steel advances into close range and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Steel lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
The right shot from Steel could be enough to force the stoppage!  Steel lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head, DROPPING HERNANDEZ TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Hernandez cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Steel!
