Kenzie Pert vs George Powles

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Australia-Victoria promoted show at Melbourne Kellogg, Melbourne,  taking place on 06/10/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Kenzie Pert (8 - 3(2)) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and George Powles(36(29) - 6(6) - 1) from Brisbane, Australia.  Pert weighed in at 153 pounds and 11 ounces, while Powles weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Malcolm Hanken, and the three ringside judges are Gus Seward, Leighton McPherson and Stephen MacDougall.  

Round 1: 

Powles advances into close range and throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Powles holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Powles pushes his forearm into Pert's face.  The ref breaks Powles's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Powles lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Powles holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Powles pushes his forearm into Pert's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Powles.  
Powles throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Powles clinches his opponent.  Powles hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Powles leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Pert attempts to land a jab, but Powles blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Powles lands a ramrod jab.  
Powles closes the distance and drives a right uppercut into Pert's body.  
Powles advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Pert almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Powles walks Pert into a corner.  Powles lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Pert tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Powles advances into close range.  Pert pivots to the left of his opponent.  Pert attempts to land a left hook, but Powles sidesteps and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Pert tries to land a jab, but Powles blocks the shot and counters with a potent right hook.  PERT WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Pert almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Pert switches the action to the outside and hits home with an overhand left.  
Powles gets on the inside.  Powles pivots to the left of his opponent.  Powles lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Powles clinches his opponent.  Powles leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  Pert quickly recovers. 
Powles drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Pert steps away from his opponent.  Pert sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Powles is on target with a stinging cross.  
Powles closes the distance and forces Pert to back into the ropes.  Powles lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Powles drives a sharp right hook into Pert's ribcage.  
Powles lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Powles senses Pert is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Powles whips in a spiteful left uppercut to his opponents body.  PERT IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  Pert now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Powles sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Powles closes the distance and is on target with a stinging left hook to Pert's body.  
Powles pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Powles is on target with a stinging right hook to Pert's ribs.  
Powles pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Pert's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Pert's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Pert's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

DOWN GOES PERT!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like Pert has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Powles advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Powles ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Pert pushes his forearm into Powles's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Pert to stop fouling.  Pert quickly recovers. 
Pert steps to the outside and tries to land a cross, but Powles slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Pert throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Pert is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Powles feints a left, and then lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Pert tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross.  Pert throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Powles closes the distance and slams a spiteful left uppercut into Pert's ribs.  PERT IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.
