Eduardo Franca vs Gig Diaz

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nicaragua-Leon promoted show at Hotel El Convento, Leon,  taking place on 10/09/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Nicaragua-Leon Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Eduardo Franca (32(9) - 10(2) - 2) who hails from Leon, Nicaragua and Gig Diaz(14 - 15(4) - 4) from Leon, Nicaragua.  Both Franca and Diaz weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Loredo Casto, and the three ringside judges are Malvolio Canada, Marco Caba and Santiago Pena.  

Round 1: 

Franca advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Franca steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Franca advances into close range and hits home with a firm left hook.  
Franca manouvers Diaz onto the ropes.  Franca drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Franca throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Franca holds on to his opponent.  Franca throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Franca to stop fouling.

Franca gets on the inside.  Franca quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Franca steps inside and walks his opponent into the blue corner.  Franca drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Franca lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Franca lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Franca clinches his opponent.  Franca is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Franca.  
Diaz throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Franca gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Diaz recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Franca lands a solid jab.  
Diaz switches the action to the outside.  Franca feints a left, and then lands a jab.  
Franca closes the distance and lands a left hook.  Franca clinches his opponent.  Franca is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Franca's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Franca digs in a sharp left hook to Diaz's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Diaz's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Franca lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Franca clinches his opponent.  Franca uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Diaz's kidney. The referee warns Franca and breaks the clinch.  
Franca manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Franca is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Franca lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  As Diaz tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Franca.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Franca closes the distance and manages to force Diaz into the corner.  Franca drives a sharp left uppercut into his opponents liver.  
Franca lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Diaz recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Franca lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Franca is on target with a firm right hook to Diaz's body.  
Franca lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Franca lands two right hooks followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Franca is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Franca advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!

Franca drives a telling left uppercut into his opponents liver.  IT LOOKS LIKE DIAZ WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  As Diaz tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Franca dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Franca knows Diaz is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Franca slams a mean right hook into Diaz's ribs.  DIAZ IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Franca crashes a hurtful right hook to Diaz's ribs.  DIAZ IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Diaz now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Franca lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS DIAZ DOWN!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Diaz can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Franca!
