Bryn Carrick vs Clinton Mateer

Boxing Daily Report from the The wright promotion promoted show at The Gym, Kingston,  taking place on 28/08/2037:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Bryn Carrick (1 - 0) who hails from New Kingston, Jamaica and Clinton Mateer(0 - 3) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Both Carrick and Mateer weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Tedford, and the three ringside judges are Mike Keough, Harvey Dennie and Paul Elliston.  

Round 1: 

Carrick feints a cross, but Mateer ignores the feint and responds with a right hook.

Carrick feints a cross, and then lands an overhand right followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Mateer closes the distance.  Carrick pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Mateer gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Carrick on the ropes.  Mateer throws a right hook, but Carrick clinches his opponent.  Carrick tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Mateer behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Carrick lands a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mateer's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.
