Adam Purdie vs Brian McCalla

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Colorado promoted show at Glitterdome, Denver,  taking place on 07/08/2037:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mountain West Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Adam Purdie (17 - 13(3) - 5) who hails from Greeley, USA and Brian McCalla(23(7) - 7) from Salt Lake City, USA.  Both Purdie and McCalla weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joe Deans, and the three ringside judges are Mark Mostyn, Oliver Monhollen and Denton Kellis.  

Round 1: 

McCalla steps inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
McCalla advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Purdie throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
McCalla lands two right hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.

McCalla walks Purdie down, trapping him in a corner.  McCalla is on target with a right hook.  
McCalla sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  
McCalla pivots to the left of his opponent.  As Purdie tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McCalla dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to McCalla.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
