Mortimer Carol vs Fabrice Dumas

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Belgium-Wallonia promoted show at La Zone, Liege,  taking place on 18/06/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Belgium-Wallonia Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mortimer Carol (25(13) - 14(4)) who hails from Liege, Belgium and Fabrice Dumas(14 - 15(5) - 5) from Liege, Belgium.  Both Carol and Dumas weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jeremie Roussel, and the three ringside judges are Valeray Dombasle, Borden Claude and Gauvain Gladieux.  

Round 1: 

Carol lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Carol clinches his opponent.  Carol pushes his forearm into Dumas's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Carol steps inside and manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Carol digs in a right uppercut to Dumas's body.  
Carol closes the distance and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Carol connects with a cross.  
Carol closes the distance and digs in a firm right hook to Dumas's ribs.  Carol ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Carol pushes his forearm into Dumas's face.  The referee warns Carol and breaks the clinch.  
Carol steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Carol walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Carol pivots to the side of his opponent.  Carol attempts to land a left uppercut, but Dumas blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Carol drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Carol walks Dumas into the red corner.  Carol drives a stinging right hook into Dumas's body.  
Carol connects with a right uppercut.  
Carol gets on the inside.  Carol pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Dumas throws a right hook, but Carol holds on to his opponent.  Carol leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Carol pushes his forearm into Dumas's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Carol is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Carol is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Carol advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Carol lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Carol steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Dumas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Carol lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Dumas dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Carol advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Dumas's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Dumas's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Carol lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Carol gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Carol advances into close range and hits home with a stinging left hook.  Carol clinches his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Carol lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Carol gets on the inside and walks his opponent into the blue corner.  Carol drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Carol lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Carol lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.

Carol lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  Carol holds on to his opponent.  Carol leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Dumas tries to keep the action at long range.  Carol feints a right hook, and then hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Carol steps inside and forces Dumas to retreat into a neutral corner.  Carol lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Carol lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Carol lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Carol is on target with a sharp right hook to Dumas's ribcage.  
Carol closes the distance and drives a left hook into Dumas's body.  
Carol lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Carol gets on the inside and digs in a firm left hook to Dumas's body.

It looks like Dumas has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Carol steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Dumas is looking to keep his distance.  Carol knows Dumas is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Carol lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND DUMAS IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  It looks like Dumas has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Carol quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Dumas walks Carol down, trapping him on the ropes.  Carol connects with a cross.  
Carol is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left uppercut to Dumas's liver.  Carol holds on to his opponent.  Carol leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Carol throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Carol lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Carol ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Carol pushes his forearm into Dumas's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Carol about fouling.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!
