James Banks vs Hugh Ivers

Boxing Daily Report from the Ecosse Boxing promoted show at John MacPhail Gym, Glasgow,  taking place on 18/05/2037:

Clearly Ecosse Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Scotland Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Banks (17(4) - 9(1) - 2) who hails from Dundee, UK and Hugh Ivers(6 - 13(2) - 3) from Edinburgh, UK.  Banks weighed in at 114 pounds And 13 ounces, while Ivers weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter McAlister, and the three ringside judges are David Hall, George Black and John McVicker.  

Round 1: 

Banks steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  Banks holds on to his opponent.  Banks leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ivers throws a left uppercut, but Banks clinches his opponent.  Banks is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Banks.

Banks lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Banks ties up his opponent.  Banks leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Banks steps inside.  Banks pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Ivers advances into close range.  Banks connects with a left uppercut.

Ivers throws a right hook, but Banks holds on to his opponent.  Banks hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Banks.

Ivers throws a right uppercut, but Banks ties up his opponent.  Banks tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ivers behind the head.

Banks gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.  Banks clinches his opponent.  Banks leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Banks to stop holding.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ivers's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Ivers's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Ivers's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Banks advances into close range and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Banks closes the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Banks lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.

Banks advances into close range and slams a spiteful right hook into Ivers's body.  IVERS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Ivers quickly recovers.

Banks forces Ivers to retreat onto the ropes.  Banks lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.

Banks steps inside.  Banks pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Banks closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Ivers advances into close range.  Banks lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Banks pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Ivers could be stopped here, if Banks can find the right shot!  Banks lands three consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES IVERS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
Banks lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS IVERS TO THE CANVAS!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Banks!
