Sean Meredith vs John Cool

Boxing Daily Report from the CP Boxing promoted show at GNS Sports Complex, New Amsterdam,  taking place on 16/04/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Guyana Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on NCN, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sean Meredith (16(8) - 3(3) - 3) who hails from Linden, Guyana and John Cool(22 - 2(2)) from Georgetown, Guyana.  Both Meredith and Cool weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Firth, and the three ringside judges are Patrick Goldring, David Pryce and Chris Page.  

Round 1: 

Cool lands a right hook.

Meredith feints a right, and then attempts to land a cross, but Cool dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Meredith steps to the outside and lands a sharp jab.  
Cool gets on the inside.  Meredith hits home with a solid right hook.  
Meredith attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Cool's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
