Daniel Magee vs John Alderdice

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 26/04/2042 from Brisbane, Australia:

The Brisbane venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Daniel Magee (78(29) - 14) who hails from Gold Coast, Australia and John Alderdice(1 - 1) from Adelaide, Australia.  

Round 1: 

Magee gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Magee holds on to his opponent.  Alderdice uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Magee behind the head.

Alderdice pivots to the left of his opponent, but Magee lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Magee pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Alderdice lands a solid left hook.  Magee holds on to his opponent.  Alderdice pushes his forearm into Magee's face.  The ref breaks Magee's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Magee is on target with a left uppercut to Alderdice's liver.  Magee attempts to land a left hook, but Alderdice blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Magee lands a right uppercut.  
Magee pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a firm right uppercut.  
Magee lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Alderdice closes the distance.  Magee lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Magee clinches his opponent.  Magee is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
