Diego Canto vs Franco Apostol

Boxing Daily Report from the Puerto Rico National Finals 2042,  taking place on 17/04/2042 from Bayamon, Puerto Rico:

The Bayamon venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Super Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Diego Canto (37 - 15) who hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Franco Apostol(37(8) - 25) from Ponce, Puerto Rico.  

Round 1: 

Apostol is looking to close the distance.  Canto is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Canto is looking to keep his distance and finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Apostol advances into close range and tries to land a left hook, but Canto sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Apostol lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Apostol walks Canto down, trapping him on the ropes.  Apostol is on target with a left hook.  Apostol holds on to his opponent.  Canto pushes his forearm into Apostol's face.  The referee warns Canto and breaks the clinch.

Canto tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Apostol behind the head. Canto leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.

Canto tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but Apostol sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Apostol is looking to close the distance and is on target with a sharp right uppercut to Canto's ribcage.  CANTO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!

Apostol is looking to close the distance and manages to force Canto into the blue corner.  Canto lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Canto hits home with a right hook.  
Apostol lands a left hook.  
Apostol lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Canto drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Apostol sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Canto throws a right uppercut, but Apostol holds on to his opponent.  Apostol leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.
