Ian Casey vs Shane Madden

Boxing Daily Report from the Ireland National Finals 2042,  taking place on 29/03/2042 from Swords, Ireland:

The Swords venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ian Casey (23(7) - 10) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Shane Madden(18 - 12) from Drogheda, Ireland.  

Round 1: 

Casey advances into close range and connects with a solid left uppercut.  
Casey throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.  
Madden lands with a sharp jab.  
Casey advances into close range and drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Madden is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Madden quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Madden connects with a cross.  Madden attempts to land a cross, but Casey parries the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Casey gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Casey lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Casey is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Madden tries to land a cross, but Casey blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Casey steps inside and drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  Casey holds on to his opponent.  Casey pushes his forearm into Madden's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Casey.  
Casey closes the distance.  Casey pivots to the left of his opponent.  Casey throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Casey holds on to his opponent.  Casey uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Madden behind the head. Casey throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee warns Casey and breaks the clinch.  
Madden attempts to land a jab, but Casey sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.  
Casey steps inside and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Casey lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  Casey holds on to his opponent.  Madden is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Casey's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Madden sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a firm left uppercut.  
Madden pivots to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Casey gets on the inside and connects with a stinging left hook.  
Madden hits home with a cross.  
Casey steps inside.  Madden throws a right hook, but Casey holds on to his opponent.  Casey is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Casey lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Casey ties up his opponent.  Madden is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Casey is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Casey lands a cross to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS MADDEN SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Casey walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Madden connects with a right uppercut.  Madden now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Casey connects with a solid right uppercut.  
Casey throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Casey clinches his opponent.  Madden pushes his forearm into Casey's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Casey sidesteps to the right of his opponent and crashes a nasty left hook to Madden's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE MADDEN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Madden quickly recovers.

Madden lands a right hook.  Casey ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Madden pushes his forearm into Casey's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Madden about fouling.  
Casey is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents ribs.  Casey holds on to his opponent.  Casey tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Madden behind the head. As they grapple, Casey pushes his forearm into Madden's face.  The ref breaks Casey's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Casey lands a right hook.  
Casey closes the distance and DETONATES a FIERCE right uppercut on his opponents face.  MADDEN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Casey!
