Majid Minhas vs Harish Karanth

Boxing Daily Report from the India National Finals 2042,  taking place on 29/03/2042 from Jodhpur, India:

The Jodhpur venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Majid Minhas (63(3) - 15(1)) who hails from Ghaziabad, India and Harish Karanth(9 - 7) from New Delhi, India.  

Round 1: 

Minhas advances into close range.  Minhas sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Minhas is on target with a jab.  
Minhas steps inside and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Minhas lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Minhas pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Karanth's liver.

Karanth attempts to land a jab, but Minhas sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Karanth quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Karanth lands a jab.  Karanth throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Minhas steps inside.  Minhas pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents liver.  
Minhas sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Karanth throws a right hook, but Minhas clinches his opponent.  Karanth leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Karanth sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Karanth attempts to land a cross, but Minhas sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Minhas steps inside.  Minhas pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Minhas lands a ramrod jab.  Karanth now seems to have got his legs back.  
Minhas advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Karanth quickly recovers. 
Karanth tries to keep the action at long range.  Karanth sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Minhas hits home with a stinging cross.  
Minhas advances into close range.  Karanth attempts to land a left hook, but Minhas sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Karanth throws a left hook, but Minhas holds on to his opponent.  Karanth leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Minhas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Karanth tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Minhas is looking to close the distance.  Minhas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Karanth is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Minhas attempts to land an overhand right, but Karanth sidesteps and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Minhas gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Karanth in the blue corner.  Minhas is on target with a VICIOUS right hook.  KARANTH IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Minhas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid right hook to Karanth's body.  
Karanth pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Minhas closes the distance and EXPLODES a SAVAGE left hook into his opponents face.  KARANTH WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Karanth almost instantly gets his legs back. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Minhas's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.

Minhas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Minhas is on target with a jab.  
Karanth attempts to land a cross, but Minhas sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Karanth steps away from his opponent.  Karanth sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Minhas lands a straight 1 - 2, AND SENDS KARANTH TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Karanth is looking to keep his distance and connects with a solid overhand left.
