Bilal Mekky vs Waqas Khan

Boxing Daily Report from the Egypt National Finals 2042,  taking place on 14/03/2042 from Cairo, Egypt:

The Cairo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Bilal Mekky (14 - 15(2)) who hails from Cairo, Egypt and Waqas Khan(17 - 8) from Alexandria, Egypt.  

Round 1:

Mekky tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a ramrod jab.  Mekky attempts to land a jab, but Khan sidesteps and counters with a stinging left hook.

Khan is looking to close the distance and manages to force Mekky into the corner.  Mekky lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.
