Boxing Daily Report from the Asia-Oceania Boxing Championships 2042,  taking place on 09/01/2042 from Malang, Indonesia:

The Malang venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Bantamweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Michael Scappini (33 - 17(1)) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Ja-choel Noh(52(12) - 36) from Daegu, South Korea.  

Round 1: 

Scappini tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land a cross, but Noh parries the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.

Noh forces Scappini to back into the ropes.  Noh is on target with a right hook.  Noh attempts to land a left uppercut, but Scappini slips the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Noh manouvers Scappini onto the ropes.  Noh lands a right uppercut.  
Noh hits home with a solid left uppercut.  
Noh closes the distance and hits home with a left hook.  
Scappini switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.  
Noh closes the distance and connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Noh sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a firm left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Scappini attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Noh's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Scappini is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a stinging jab.  
Scappini steps away from his opponent and tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Scappini feints a right, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Noh lands a cross.  
Noh manages to force Scappini onto the ropes.  Noh lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

Noh manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Scappini lands a left uppercut.  
Noh whips in a hurtful right hook to Scappini's body.  SCAPPINI IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Noh lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Noh gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Scappini tries to land a right hook, but Noh blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Scappini is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Scappini throws a right hook, but Noh holds on to his opponent.  Scappini is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Scappini pushes his forearm into Noh's face.  The referee warns Scappini and breaks the clinch.  
Noh drives a firm left uppercut into Scappini's body.  
Noh pivots to the right of his opponent.  Scappini throws a left hook, but Noh ties up his opponent.  Noh throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks Noh's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Scappini is on target with a left hook to Noh's body.  Scappini throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Scappini throws a right hook, but Noh clinches his opponent.  Scappini leans on his opponent using all his weight. Scappini throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Scappini about fouling.  
Scappini throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Noh time to recover.  
Noh gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Noh steps inside and manouvers Scappini into a corner.  Noh hits home with a right hook.  Noh holds on to his opponent.  Noh is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Noh lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Noh knows Scappini is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Noh lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND SCAPPINI IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  Scappini now seems to have got his legs back.  
Scappini lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Scappini's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

Noh quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Scappini is on target with a solid right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Scappini steps to the outside and hits the target with a ramrod jab.  Scappini throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Noh gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Noh EXPLODES a big cross into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE SCAPPINI WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Scappini recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Noh throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Noh lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Noh holds on to his opponent.  Noh is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Noh.
