Boxing Daily Report from the Africa Boxing Championships 2042,  taking place on 09/01/2042 from Harare, Zimbabwe:

The Harare venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Kenzie Sserulyo (21 - 15) who hails from Gulu, Uganda and Hamas Alsakkak(62(13) - 24(3)) from Marrakech, Morocco.  

Round 1: 

Alsakkak is looking to close the distance and connects with a right hook.  
Sserulyo throws a right hook, but Alsakkak ties up his opponent.  Alsakkak leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Alsakkak manages to force Sserulyo into a neutral corner.  Sserulyo tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Alsakkak lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sserulyo throws a left hook, but Alsakkak ties up his opponent.  Alsakkak is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Alsakkak's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Alsakkak connects with a stinging right hook.  
Alsakkak attempts to land a cross, but Sserulyo blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Sserulyo hits home with an overhand left.  
Alsakkak gets on the inside and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  
Alsakkak quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Sserulyo lands a solid right uppercut.  Alsakkak ties up his opponent.  Alsakkak is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Alsakkak's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Alsakkak lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Alsakkak ties up his opponent.  Sserulyo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sserulyo steps away from his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Alsakkak whips in a hurtful left hook to his opponents ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE SSERULYO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Alsakkak holds on to his opponent.  Alsakkak pushes his forearm into Sserulyo's face.  The ref breaks Alsakkak's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Sserulyo recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Alsakkak lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sserulyo tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross, overhand left and a jab to his opponents head.  
Alsakkak is on target with a solid left hook.  
Alsakkak lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, DROPPING SSERULYO TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Alsakkak clinches his opponent.  Sserulyo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sserulyo to stop fouling.  Sserulyo quickly recovers. 
Alsakkak walks Sserulyo down, trapping him in a corner.  Alsakkak lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head, AND SENDS SSERULYO TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  Sserulyo almost instantly recovers. 
Alsakkak lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body, AND DROPS SSERULYO TO THE CANVAS!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Sserulyo can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Alsakkak!
