Daniel Magee vs Joseph Carrie

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 06/06/2041 from Brisbane, Australia:

The Brisbane venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Daniel Magee (66(20) - 14) who hails from Gold Coast, Australia and Joseph Carrie(3 - 6(1)) from Melbourne, Australia.  

Round 1: 

Magee steps inside and is on target with a solid left hook.  Magee ties up his opponent.  Magee pushes his forearm into Carrie's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Magee to stop fouling.  
Carrie throws a right uppercut, but Magee clinches his opponent.  Magee uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Carrie's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Magee to stop fouling.  
Magee lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Magee throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Magee clinches his opponent.  Magee is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Magee connects with a solid left hook.  
Magee lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Carrie throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Magee lands a sharp right hook.  Magee holds on to his opponent.  Magee leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Magee uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Carrie behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Magee manages to force Carrie onto the ropes.  Carrie throws a right hook, but Magee holds on to his opponent.  Magee leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Carrie pushes his forearm into Magee's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Magee digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Magee hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Magee digs in a firm left hook to his opponents liver.  Magee clinches his opponent.  Magee is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Carrie uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Magee behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Carrie about fouling.  
Magee walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Magee hits home with a solid right hook.  
Magee lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Magee steps inside.  Magee sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Magee drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Magee steps inside and digs in a firm right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Magee finds the target with a jab.  
Magee closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Carrie switches the action to the outside.  Magee connects with a cross.  
Magee advances into close range.  Carrie throws a left hook, but Magee holds on to his opponent.  Magee tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Carrie's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Magee.  
Carrie quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Magee lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.

Carrie pivots to the right of his opponent, but Magee lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Carrie throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Magee is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Magee lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, DROPPING CARRIE TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Magee is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut.  
Magee hits home with a left uppercut.  
Magee manages to force Carrie into the red corner.  Magee lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Magee lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Carrie quickly recovers. 
Magee sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Magee lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Magee clinches his opponent.  Magee uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Carrie's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Magee about fouling.  
Magee forces Carrie to retreat into a corner.  Magee lands a left uppercut.  
Magee advances into close range.  Carrie throws a right hook, but Magee clinches his opponent.  Magee leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Magee hits home with a solid left hook.  
Magee lands a solid right uppercut.  
Magee drives a left uppercut into Carrie's body.  
Carrie throws a left hook, but Magee ties up his opponent.  Magee is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Magee to stop holding.  
Magee lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Magee lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Magee lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Carrie throws a right hook, but Magee holds on to his opponent.  Magee is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Magee to stop holding.  
Magee is on target with a right hook to Carrie's body.  
Carrie steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a jab, but Magee sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Carrie's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

Magee steps inside.  Magee sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Magee lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Magee walks Carrie onto the ropes.  Magee sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Carrie throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Magee connects with a sharp left uppercut.  
Magee is on target with a left hook.  
Magee manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Magee drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.  
Magee lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.
