Henry McAfee vs Ryo Komatsu

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 13/05/2041 from Kyoto, Japan:

The Kyoto venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Henry McAfee (9 - 18(2)) who hails from Glasgow, UK and Ryo Komatsu(43(1) - 13(1)) from Kyoto, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Komatsu lands with a stiff jab.  
Komatsu forces McAfee to back into the ropes.  Komatsu throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Komatsu throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Komatsu is on target with a right uppercut.  
McAfee is on target with a left hook.  Komatsu ties up his opponent.  Komatsu leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Komatsu pushes his forearm into McAfee's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Komatsu lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Komatsu lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  Komatsu holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Komatsu pushes his forearm into McAfee's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Komatsu.  
Komatsu is on target with a left hook to McAfee's body.  Komatsu holds on to his opponent.  Komatsu is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Komatsu tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McAfee's kidney. 
McAfee steps away from his opponent.  Komatsu hits home with a solid overhand left.  
Komatsu closes the distance.  Komatsu pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Komatsu drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Komatsu steps inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
McAfee sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Komatsu hits the target with a hard jab.  
Komatsu closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Komatsu lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
McAfee throws a left hook, but Komatsu ties up his opponent.  Komatsu leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Komatsu cuts off the ring, trapping McAfee on the ropes.  McAfee throws a right hook, but Komatsu ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, McAfee pushes his forearm into Komatsu's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures McAfee about fouling.  
Komatsu is on target with a firm right hook.  
McAfee throws a left hook, but Komatsu holds on to his opponent.  Komatsu is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Komatsu's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Komatsu lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Komatsu lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
McAfee steps away from his opponent.  Komatsu finds the target with a jab.  
Komatsu advances into close range.  Komatsu sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Komatsu lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  McAfee quickly recovers.

Komatsu lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Komatsu hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  Komatsu clinches his opponent.  Komatsu is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Komatsu's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.
