Henry McAfee vs Landry Barthez

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 06/05/2041 from Abidjan, Ivory Coast:

The Abidjan venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Henry McAfee (9 - 16(1)) who hails from Glasgow, UK and Landry Barthez(64(7) - 16) from Abidjan, Ivory Coast.  

Round 1: 

Barthez gets on the inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  McAfee recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Barthez lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Barthez ties up his opponent.  Barthez leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Barthez pushes his forearm into McAfee's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Barthez drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  Barthez ties up his opponent.  Barthez is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McAfee switches the action to the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Barthez gets on the inside and is on target with a stinging right hook to McAfee's ribs.  
Barthez advances into close range and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Barthez clinches his opponent.  McAfee pushes his forearm into Barthez's face.  The ref breaks Barthez's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Barthez lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Barthez is on target with a cross.  
McAfee steps to the outside.  Barthez is on target with a ramrod jab.  
Barthez closes the distance and hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Barthez manouvers McAfee onto the ropes.  Barthez pivots from in front of his opponent.  Barthez lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Barthez holds on to his opponent.  Barthez is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Barthez sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  McAfee throws a left hook, but Barthez ties up his opponent.  Barthez leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Barthez pushes his forearm into McAfee's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Barthez.  
Barthez lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
McAfee tries to step out of his opponents range.  Barthez hits home with an overhand left.  
Barthez lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Barthez steps inside.  Barthez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Barthez lands a cross.  
Barthez is looking to close the distance.  Barthez pivots to the left of his opponent, but McAfee hits home with a left hook.  
Barthez lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Barthez sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Barthez lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Barthez clinches his opponent.  McAfee is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Barthez's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Barthez lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  McAfee almost instantly recovers. 
Barthez advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Barthez closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.

Barthez walks McAfee down, trapping him in the corner.  McAfee digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Barthez lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Barthez lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Barthez lands two left uppercut's to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Barthez sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  McAfee almost instantly recovers. 
Barthez lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Barthez drives a left uppercut into McAfee's body.  
Barthez hits home with a right hook.  Barthez holds on to his opponent.  Barthez leans on his opponent using all his weight. Barthez tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McAfee behind the head. 
Barthez drives a solid right hook into McAfee's body.  
Barthez hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Barthez lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
McAfee throws a right hook, but Barthez ties up his opponent.  Barthez hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
McAfee digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Barthez lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS MCAFEE DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Barthez thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put McAfee away.  Barthez whips in a mean left hook to his opponents ribs.  DOWN GOES MCAFEE!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Barthez!
