Boxing Daily Report from the Zimbabwe National Finals 2041,  taking place on 26/04/2041 from Harare, Zimbabwe:

The Harare venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ian Mawoyo (7 - 21(1)) who hails from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and Mike Ndlovu(33(3) - 11(1)) from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  

Round 1: 

Mawoyo throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Ndlovu advances into close range.  Ndlovu sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Ndlovu connects with a firm cross.  
Ndlovu is looking to close the distance.  Ndlovu pivots to the side of his opponent.  Ndlovu lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Ndlovu throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Ndlovu closes the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Ndlovu lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Ndlovu lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.

Mawoyo throws a left hook, but Ndlovu clinches his opponent.  Ndlovu pushes his forearm into Mawoyo's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ndlovu attempts to land a left hook, but Mawoyo slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Mawoyo drives a solid right hook into Ndlovu's ribcage.  
Ndlovu connects with a solid cross.

Ndlovu steps inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Ndlovu lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mawoyo now seems to have his senses back.  
Mawoyo is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands with a spiteful jab.  
Mawoyo steps away from his opponent and tries to land an overhand right, but Ndlovu slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Mawoyo connects with a cross.  
Mawoyo tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Ndlovu lands a SAVAGE right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MAWOYO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Mawoyo almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Ndlovu lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Mawoyo steps away from his opponent and hits home with a sharp jab.  
Ndlovu connects with a cross.  
Ndlovu advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Mawoyo tries to keep the action at long range and lands a stinging jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ndlovu's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.

Ndlovu lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND SENDS MAWOYO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Ndlovu!
