Henry McAfee vs Onofre Lopez

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 25/02/2041 from Guayaquil, Ecuador:

The Guayaquil venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Henry McAfee (4 - 7) who hails from Glasgow, UK and Onofre Lopez(9 - 21) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  

Round 1: 

McAfee lands a cross.  
McAfee feints a jab, but Lopez is not fooled and lands with a left uppercut.  
Lopez steps inside and digs in a right hook to McAfee's ribcage.  
McAfee sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Lopez gets on the inside.  Lopez pivots to the left of his opponent.  Lopez lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Lopez clinches his opponent.  McAfee leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Lopez's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lopez sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Lopez walks McAfee onto the ropes.  Lopez sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a stinging right hook into his opponents body.  
Lopez closes the distance.  Lopez pivots from in front of his opponent.  McAfee throws a right hook, but Lopez ties up his opponent.  Lopez is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
McAfee is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a cross.  McAfee throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
McAfee sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Lopez lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Lopez pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a firm right hook to McAfee's body.  
McAfee tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a cross to Lopez's body.  
Lopez is on target with a solid right uppercut.  
Lopez forces McAfee to retreat onto the ropes.  Lopez pivots to the right of his opponent.  McAfee is on target with a left uppercut.  McAfee attempts to land a right uppercut, but Lopez sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lopez gets on the inside and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
McAfee steps to the outside.  McAfee quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a stinging jab.  
Lopez is looking to close the distance.  Lopez pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
McAfee lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Lopez steps inside.  Lopez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lopez attempts to land a left uppercut, but McAfee slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lopez manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Lopez connects with a right hook.  
McAfee throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Lopez ties up his opponent.  Lopez tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McAfee behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McAfee tries to step out of his opponents range.  McAfee sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Lopez throws a left uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Lopez clinches his opponent.  Lopez pushes his forearm into McAfee's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Lopez to stop fouling.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lopez's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
