Ewan Whitehorn vs Alfonse Sandberg

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 07/02/2041 from Chicago, USA:

The Chicago venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ewan Whitehorn (63(32) - 21) who hails from Joliet, USA and Alfonse Sandberg(13 - 2(1)) from Lubeck, Germany.  

Round 1: 

Whitehorn lands a jab followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Whitehorn lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Sandberg manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Whitehorn tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Whitehorn steps to the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Whitehorn lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Whitehorn connects with a firm left hook.  
Whitehorn lands two consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head.  He then lands a cross, overhand right and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Whitehorn closes the distance.  Whitehorn sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Sandberg digs in a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sandberg hits home with a firm right hook.  Whitehorn ties up his opponent.  Sandberg tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Whitehorn behind the head. Sandberg is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Sandberg lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Sandberg cuts off the ring, trapping Whitehorn on the ropes.  Sandberg connects with a cross.  Sandberg throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Whitehorn switches the action to the outside and lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.

Round 2: 

Whitehorn closes the distance and lands a mean right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE SANDBERG WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Sandberg switches the action to the outside.  Whitehorn thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Sandberg away.  Whitehorn lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head, AND SENDS SANDBERG TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Whitehorn is on target with a BRUTAL right hook.  SANDBERG IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  It looks like Sandberg has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Whitehorn lands a sharp cross.  Whitehorn tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Whitehorn lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Whitehorn advances into close range.  Sandberg hits home with a right hook.  
Sandberg tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Sandberg quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a spiteful jab.  
Whitehorn is looking to keep his distance.  Whitehorn stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Sandberg finds the target with a jab.  Sandberg throws an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a HUGE right uppercut.  SANDBERG IS HURT!  Sandberg quickly recovers.

Sandberg lands a sharp left uppercut.  
Whitehorn throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  
Whitehorn feints a right, and then drives a sharp jab into his opponents face.  Whitehorn throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Whitehorn is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Sandberg lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Sandberg connects with a sharp overhand right.  
Sandberg manages to force Whitehorn onto the ropes.  Whitehorn hits home with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Sandberg's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

Whitehorn is looking to keep his distance.  Whitehorn stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Whitehorn lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS SANDBERG DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  
Whitehorn lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS SANDBERG SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Whitehorn!
