Ian Heggins vs Kian Moffitt

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 29/08/2040 from Melbourne, Australia:

The Melbourne venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ian Heggins (31 - 13(1)) who hails from Atlanta, USA and Kian Moffitt(20 - 15(1)) from Melbourne, Australia.  

Round 1: 

Moffitt is on target with a stinging cross.  
Moffitt lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Moffitt hits home with a stinging left uppercut.  Moffitt holds on to his opponent.  Moffitt is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Moffitt about fouling.

Heggins forces Moffitt to back into the ropes.  Heggins drives a solid right hook into his opponents ribcage.  Moffitt clinches his opponent.  Heggins leans on his opponent using all his weight. Moffitt tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Heggins's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Moffitt.  
Heggins lands a stinging cross.  
Heggins forces Moffitt to back into the corner.  Moffitt goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Heggins time to recover.  
Heggins connects with a right uppercut.  
Heggins steps inside and connects with a sharp right uppercut.  Moffitt clinches his opponent.  Moffitt is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Moffitt throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Heggins closes the distance and is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Moffitt lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Heggins hits home with a cross.  
Moffitt quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Moffitt lands with a hard jab.  Moffitt attempts to land a jab, but Heggins slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Moffitt sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Heggins lands a solid jab.

Heggins advances into close range.  Moffitt throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Moffitt finds the target with a jab.  
Heggins lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Moffitt hits home with a cross.  Moffitt tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.
