Kazuki Shimizu vs Iwao Sakurai

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 18/08/2040 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Kazuki Shimizu (33 - 8) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Iwao Sakurai(1 - 13) from Kashiwa, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Shimizu tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab to Sakurai's body.  
Sakurai manouvers Shimizu onto the ropes.  Sakurai sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Sakurai connects with a sharp right hook.  
Shimizu lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Sakurai steps inside.  Shimizu throws a left uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Sakurai steps inside.  Shimizu lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Sakurai advances into close range and tries to land a left hook, but Shimizu parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Shimizu lands a stinging overhand left.

Shimizu feints a left hook, and then throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Sakurai hits home with a stinging left hook.  Sakurai tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Shimizu lands a jab.  
Shimizu steps to the outside.  Shimizu feints a left hook, and then throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Shimizu lands a cross.  
Sakurai gets on the inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Shimizu connects with a left hook.  Shimizu tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Shimizu steps to the outside.  Shimizu feints a cross, fooling Sakurai into launching a cross counter.  Shimizu springs the trap and counters with  a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.

Sakurai steps inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Sakurai gets on the inside and manages to force Shimizu onto the ropes.  Shimizu throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Sakurai time to recover.

Sakurai gets on the inside and forces Shimizu to retreat onto the ropes.  Sakurai throws a right hook, but Shimizu holds on to his opponent.  Shimizu pushes his forearm into Sakurai's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Shimizu to stop fouling.
