Robert Eury vs Ian Cumbee

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 05/08/2040 from Shreveport, USA:

The Shreveport venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Robert Eury (77 - 2) who hails from Shreveport, USA and Ian Cumbee(18 - 28) from El Paso, USA.  

Round 1: 

Eury throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Eury holds on to his opponent.  Cumbee uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Eury behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cumbee to stop fouling.

Eury is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Eury stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Cumbee lands a firm cross.  
Cumbee throws a right hook, but Eury ties up his opponent.  Eury leans on his opponent using all his weight. Cumbee pushes his forearm into Eury's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Cumbee.  
Eury is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.
