Shinji Hayakawa vs Brad Newlands

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 16/06/2040 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Shinji Hayakawa (54(5) - 10) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Brad Newlands(23 - 30(3)) from Georgetown, Guyana.  

Round 1: 

Hayakawa advances into close range and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Newlands is looking to keep his distance.  Newlands sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.

Hayakawa closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Newlands attempts to land a left hook, but Hayakawa parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Hayakawa forces Newlands to retreat into the red corner.  Hayakawa lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Hayakawa closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Hayakawa lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Hayakawa lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hayakawa cuts off the ring, trapping Newlands in a neutral corner.  Hayakawa lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Hayakawa ties up his opponent.  Hayakawa is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Hayakawa lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Newlands switches the action to the outside and lands with a spiteful jab.  
Hayakawa lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  Hayakawa throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Newlands lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Hayakawa closes the distance.  Newlands throws a right uppercut, but Hayakawa holds on to his opponent.  Hayakawa leans on his opponent using all his weight. Hayakawa hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
