Denton Begg vs Amon Rodgerson

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 22/05/2040 from Birmingham, USA:

The Birmingham venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Denton Begg (34(3) - 10) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Amon Rodgerson(1 - 9) from Birmingham, USA.  

Round 1: 

Begg advances into close range.  Begg pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Begg closes the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Rodgerson steps to the outside and finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Rodgerson sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross to Begg's body.  
Begg is on target with a firm left hook to Rodgerson's body.  
Begg closes the distance.  Begg quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Rodgerson is on target with a right uppercut.  Rodgerson throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Begg is on target with a solid left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Begg is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Begg ties up his opponent.  Begg is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Begg is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Begg about fouling.  
Begg gets on the inside.  Rodgerson throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Begg lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Rodgerson tries to land a cross, but Begg sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to Rodgerson's ribcage.  
Begg gets on the inside and is on target with a firm left hook to Rodgerson's ribs.  
Begg lands a left uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Rodgerson manages to force Begg onto the ropes.  Rodgerson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Begg drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Begg tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Begg's body.  
Begg connects with a stinging left uppercut.  
Begg connects with a FEROCIOUS left uppercut.  RODGERSON IS HURT!  Begg clinches his opponent.  Begg pushes his forearm into Rodgerson's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Begg.  
Begg senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Begg lands a FIERCE left hook.  RODGERSON IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Rodgerson now seems to have got his legs back.  
Begg lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Begg pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a sharp left uppercut into Rodgerson's body.  
Begg hits home with a solid right hook.  
Begg sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Begg lands two left uppercuts to the body, and one to the head.  Begg ties up his opponent.  Begg uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Rodgerson behind the head. 
Begg is on target with a solid right uppercut.

Begg hits home with a sharp left hook.  Begg ties up his opponent.  Rodgerson pushes his forearm into Begg's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Begg drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  Begg clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Rodgerson pushes his forearm into Begg's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Begg pivots to the left of his opponent and SLAMS a FEARSOME right hook into his opponents face.  RODGERSON IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Begg!
