Mark Proffitt vs Ben Couts

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 21/04/2040 from Las Vegas, USA:

The Las Vegas venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mark Proffitt (63(1) - 7) who hails from Las Vegas, USA and Ben Couts(1 - 0) from Arlington, USA.  

Round 1: 

Proffitt snaps his opponents head back with a stinging jab.  
Proffitt quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Couts advances into close range.  Couts pivots to the right of his opponent.  Couts throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Proffitt ties up his opponent.  Proffitt is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Proffitt steps to the outside and lands with a ramrod jab.  
Proffitt tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Couts gets on the inside and manouvers Proffitt onto the ropes.  Proffitt is on target with a left uppercut to Couts's body.  Proffitt clinches his opponent.  Couts is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Couts about fouling.  
Couts steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Proffitt is looking to keep his distance.  Proffitt feints a left hook, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Proffitt is on target with a right hook to Couts's ribs.  
Couts throws a right hook, but Proffitt clinches his opponent.  Couts is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Couts gets on the inside.  Proffitt throws a right hook, but is off-target.  Proffitt holds on to his opponent.  Proffitt throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Proffitt switches the action to the outside.  Proffitt feints a left hook, and then lands a jab.  
Proffitt feints a right hook, and then lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Proffitt snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Couts lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Couts sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.

Proffitt switches the action to the outside.  Proffitt feints a right hook, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Couts closes the distance and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Couts manouvers Proffitt onto the ropes.  Proffitt lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Proffitt's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Couts is looking to close the distance.  Proffitt lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Couts lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Couts digs in a left hook to Proffitt's ribs.  
Proffitt goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Couts time to recover.  
Proffitt steps to the outside.  Proffitt drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Couts lands a jab.  Couts tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.

Couts tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Proffitt behind the head. As they grapple, Proffitt pushes his forearm into Couts's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Proffitt.  
Proffitt steps to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Couts lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Couts throws a right uppercut, but Proffitt holds on to his opponent.  Proffitt leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Couts manouvers Proffitt onto the ropes.  Proffitt lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Proffitt tries to land a left hook, but Couts parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Couts quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.
