Diego Mancebo vs Joaquin Abrego

Boxing Daily Report from the Peru National Finals 2040,  taking place on 14/04/2040 from Arequipa, Peru:

The Arequipa venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Diego Mancebo (9 - 9) who hails from Lima, Peru and Joaquin Abrego(11(3) - 13) from Lima, Peru.  

Round 1: 

Mancebo switches the action to the outside.  Mancebo drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Abrego connects with a stinging cross.  
Mancebo tries to land an overhand right, but Abrego blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Mancebo lands a cross, overhand left and a cross to his opponents head.  
Mancebo finds the target with a jab.  
Mancebo lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Abrego steps inside.  Abrego sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Abrego is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Abrego lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Abrego walks Mancebo down, trapping him on the ropes.  Abrego drives a solid left hook into his opponents liver.  
Mancebo drives a right uppercut into Abrego's body.  
Mancebo lands a jab.  Mancebo throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Abrego walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Abrego lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Abrego ties up his opponent.  Abrego is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Abrego closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mancebo attempts to land a left uppercut, but Abrego dodges the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Abrego lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Abrego holds on to his opponent.  Mancebo pushes his forearm into Abrego's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mancebo about fouling.  
Abrego drives a potent right uppercut into his opponents body.  MANCEBO IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  
Mancebo steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Abrego lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Mancebo recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mancebo tries to keep the action at long range.  Mancebo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands with a ramrod jab.  
Abrego steps inside.  Mancebo is on target with a right hook.  
Abrego lands two right hook's to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Abrego ties up his opponent.  Abrego uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Mancebo behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Abrego.

Mancebo lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Abrego manages to force Mancebo onto the ropes.  Abrego lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body, AND MANCEBO IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Mancebo tries to land a jab, but Abrego sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Abrego digs in a firm left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Abrego digs in a right hook to Mancebo's body.  
Mancebo tries to step out of his opponents range and strikes his opponents body with a firm cross.  
Abrego lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Abrego lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Abrego stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Abrego is on target with a telling left hook to Mancebo's body.  MANCEBO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Abrego!
