Boxing Daily Report from the Paraguay National Finals 2040,  taking place on 14/04/2040 from Asuncion, Paraguay:

The Asuncion venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Lightweight divison.

Bencomo walks Cavazos down, trapping him in the corner.  Cavazos throws a left hook, but Bencomo holds on to his opponent.  Bencomo pushes his forearm into Cavazos's face.  The referee warns Bencomo and breaks the clinch.  
Bencomo pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Bencomo lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Bencomo lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Bencomo is on target with a firm right hook.  Bencomo ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks Bencomo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Cavazos's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win. Bencomo's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

Bencomo lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body, KNOCKING CAVAZOS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Bencomo clinches his opponent.  Cavazos leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Cavazos pushes his forearm into Bencomo's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Cavazos recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Bencomo manouvers Cavazos onto the ropes.  Bencomo pivots to the right of his opponent.  Cavazos lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Bencomo holds on to his opponent.  Bencomo throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head.

Bencomo pivots to the right of his opponent.  Bencomo is on target with a stinging right hook.  Bencomo tries to land a right hook, but Cavazos slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.

Bencomo lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND DROPS CAVAZOS!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Bencomo!
