Cody Mugane vs Nathan Matilu

Boxing Daily Report from the Kenya National Finals 2040,  taking place on 29/03/2040 from Nakuru, Kenya:

The Nakuru venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Cody Mugane (11 - 14) who hails from Kangundo-Tala, Kenya and Nathan Matilu(28 - 15(1)) from Machakos, Kenya.  

Round 1: 

Matilu closes the distance and attempts to land a left uppercut, but Mugane blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Mugane switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Mugane tries to land a jab, but Matilu slips the shot and counters with a right hook.
