Boxing Daily Report from the Colombia National Finals 2040,  taking place on 17/03/2040 from Medellin, Colombia:

The Medellin venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Diego Hermosillo (25 - 30) who hails from Itagui, Colombia and Diego Tobon(37(1) - 22(1)) from Medellin, Colombia.  

Round 1: 

Hermosillo gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to Tobon's body.  
Hermosillo lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Hermosillo tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a SAVAGE left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE HERMOSILLO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Hermosillo is looking to close the distance.  Some sustained pressure from Tobon could be enough to finish Hermosillo!  Tobon lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND HERMOSILLO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  Hermosillo now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.

Hermosillo steps inside and throws a right hook, but Tobon clinches his opponent.  Hermosillo uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Tobon behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Hermosillo to stop fouling.  
Hermosillo throws a right hook, but Tobon ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Tobon pushes his forearm into Hermosillo's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Tobon about fouling.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Hermosillo's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!  Tobon's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.

Hermosillo closes the distance.  Tobon lands a double left hook to his opponents head, DROPPING HERMOSILLO TO THE CANVAS!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Tobon!
