Ashley Gallagher vs Connor Sloan

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 08/02/2040 from Minneapolis, USA:

The Minneapolis venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ashley Gallagher (74(3) - 17) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Connor Sloan(1 - 4) from Chicago, USA.  

Round 1: 

Sloan switches the action to the outside.  Sloan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands with a spiteful jab.  
Sloan pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sloan attempts to land a jab, but Gallagher sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Sloan's body.  
Gallagher lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Gallagher strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Gallagher gets on the inside.  Gallagher throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Sloan time to recover.  
Gallagher is on target with a stinging left hook.  Gallagher holds on to his opponent.  Gallagher is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Gallagher pushes his forearm into Sloan's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Gallagher hits home with a cross.  Gallagher tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Sloan throws a right uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Gallagher holds on to his opponent.  Gallagher pushes his forearm into Sloan's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gallagher closes the distance.  Sloan throws a right uppercut, but Gallagher ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Gallagher pushes his forearm into Sloan's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Gallagher.  
Gallagher lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Gallagher forces Sloan to back into the red corner.  Gallagher lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Gallagher holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Sloan pushes his forearm into Gallagher's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sloan.  
Gallagher lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Gallagher sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gallagher digs in a left uppercut to Sloan's body.  Gallagher holds on to his opponent.  Gallagher throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Gallagher to stop fouling.  
Gallagher lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Gallagher attempts to land a left uppercut, but Sloan parries the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Gallagher closes the distance.  Sloan throws a left hook, but Gallagher holds on to his opponent.  Gallagher uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Sloan behind the head. Gallagher leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Gallagher's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Gallagher digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Sloan throws a right hook, but Gallagher ties up his opponent.  Sloan hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Gallagher gets on the inside and forces Sloan to retreat into the red corner.  Sloan attempts to land a right uppercut, but Gallagher sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.
