Sergei Cartaev vs Marjun Giron

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 07/02/2040 from Dushanbe, Tajikistan:

The Dushanbe venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Sergei Cartaev (56 - 3) who hails from Dushanbe, Tajikistan and Marjun Giron(1 - 0) from Chiclayo, Peru.

Cartaev walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Cartaev sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Giron connects with a left hook.  
Giron lands a jab.  
Cartaev advances into close range and connects with a sharp right hook.  
Giron steps away from his opponent.  Giron sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands with a stiff jab.  
Giron snaps his opponents head back with a stinging jab.  
Cartaev closes the distance and throws a left hook, but misses the target.  Cartaev holds on to his opponent.  Cartaev leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.
