Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 01/02/2040 from Algiers, Algeria:

The Algiers venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Paul Smiley (14(1) - 6) who hails from Atlanta, USA and Waqas Laban(16(2) - 23) from Algiers, Algeria.  

Round 1: 

Laban steps inside.  Smiley lands a solid left uppercut.

Laban tries to land a right hook, but Smiley blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Smiley steps to the outside.  Laban connects with a cross.  
Laban attempts to land a left hook, but Smiley parries the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut to Laban's body.  
Laban walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Smiley lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Smiley manages to force Laban onto the ropes.  Laban lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Smiley sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Laban hits home with a spiteful jab.
