Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 17/01/2040 from Auckland, New Zealand:

The Auckland venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Takeshi Hamasaki (25 - 20) who hails from Sapporo, Japan and Joel Buell(7 - 11) from Auckland, New Zealand.  

Round 1: 

Hamasaki gets on the inside and drives a left hook into Buell's body.  
Buell manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Buell sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Buell sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Hamasaki drives a right hook into Buell's body.

Hamasaki lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Hamasaki switches the action to the outside.  Hamasaki feints a left hook, and then hits home with a stinging jab.  
Buell is looking to close the distance.  Hamasaki lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Hamasaki holds on to his opponent.  Buell pushes his forearm into Hamasaki's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Buell to stop fouling.  
Hamasaki connects with a sharp left hook.  
Hamasaki lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Hamasaki hits home with a firm left hook.  
Hamasaki steps to the outside.  Buell is on target with a jab.  
Buell goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Hamasaki's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Buell is looking to close the distance and walks Hamasaki down, trapping him on the ropes.  Buell lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Buell pivots to the right of his opponent.  Buell throws a left hook, but Hamasaki holds on to his opponent.  Buell uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Hamasaki behind the head. The referee warns Buell and breaks the clinch.
