Goro Kanai vs Guillermo Abar

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 10/12/2039 from Mostoles, Spain:

The Mostoles venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Goro Kanai (9 - 9(1)) who hails from Asahikawa, Japan and Guillermo Abar(7 - 9(1)) from Mostoles, Spain.  

Round 1: 

Abar sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kanai lands a sharp right hook.  
Abar walks Kanai onto the ropes.  Abar pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Abar lands a right uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Abar lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Abar pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a stinging cross.  
Abar gets on the inside.  Kanai connects with a right hook.  
Kanai attempts to land a jab, but Abar dodges the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Kanai switches the action to the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Abar gets on the inside.  Abar is on target with a right hook.  
Abar lands with a hard jab.  
Kanai gets on the inside.  Kanai sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kanai throws a left hook, but Abar ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Abar pushes his forearm into Kanai's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Kanai digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Abar lands a right hook, right uppercut and a jab to his opponents head.  
Abar pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Abar steps inside and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  Abar ties up his opponent.  Kanai leans on his opponent using all his weight. Abar pushes his forearm into Kanai's face.  The referee warns Abar and breaks the clinch.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Abar's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.

Kanai connects with an overhand left.  
Kanai is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a right uppercut, but Abar slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Kanai lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Kanai tries to land a jab, but Abar slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Kanai lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Abar stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Kanai hits home with a cross.  
Abar connects with a stinging overhand right.  
Kanai quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Abar drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Kanai tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.

Abar tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Kanai's kidney. Kanai leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Kanai is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Kanai to stop fouling.  
Abar tries to keep the action at long range.  Abar feints a left, and then lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Kanai closes the distance and attempts to land a right uppercut, but Abar slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.

Kanai lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Kanai closes the distance.  Abar connects with a left hook.  
Abar steps away from his opponent.  Kanai lands a firm cross.  
Kanai gets on the inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Abar lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Abar sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a sharp jab.
