Dave Croy vs James Perkins

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 08/12/2039 from El Paso, USA:

The El Paso venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dave Croy (42 - 12) who hails from San Antonio, USA and James Perkins(0 - 4) from Los Angeles, USA.  

Round 1: 

Croy is looking to keep his distance.  Croy sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Perkins is on target with a cross.  
Perkins hits home with a left uppercut.

Perkins closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Croy lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Perkins sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Croy lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Croy connects with a sharp left hook.  
Perkins lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Perkins attempts to land a left uppercut, but Croy parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Croy tries to keep the action at long range and snaps his opponents head back with a hard jab.  
Croy steps to the outside.  Croy sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Croy is on target with a jab.  Croy attempts to land a cross, but Perkins dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Croy steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Croy is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Perkins tries to land a cross, but Croy blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Perkins closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Croy steps away from his opponent and hits home with a spiteful jab.  
Croy connects with a firm cross.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Perkins's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

Perkins advances into close range and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Perkins pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Perkins is on target with a left hook.  Croy clinches his opponent.  Croy uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Perkins behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Croy about fouling.  
Perkins is on target with a right hook.  
Perkins tries to land a left uppercut, but Croy sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Perkins advances into close range.  Perkins pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Croy lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Perkins is on target with a cross to his opponents body.  
Perkins throws a right hook, but Croy holds on to his opponent.  Perkins pushes his forearm into Croy's face.  The ref breaks Croy's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
