The Rio de Janeiro venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Francisco Alvarenga (33 - 11) who hails from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Bronco Alegre(0 - 1) from Manaus, Brazil.  

Round 1: 

Alvarenga closes the distance and lands a left hook.

Alvarenga closes the distance and connects with a right uppercut.  
Alvarenga forces Alegre to back into a neutral corner.  Alvarenga lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Alvarenga pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut.  
Alvarenga closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Alegre lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Alvarenga closes the distance.  Alvarenga pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to Alegre's ribs.  
Alvarenga throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Alegre's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Alvarenga steps away from his opponent and is on target with a sharp cross to Alegre's body.  
Alvarenga connects with a left uppercut.  
Alvarenga advances into close range.  Alvarenga pivots to the right of his opponent.  Alegre attempts to land a right hook, but Alvarenga blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Alvarenga lands a stinging left hook.  
Alvarenga sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Alegre hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  
Alegre drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Alegre lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Alvarenga ties up his opponent.  Alvarenga is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Alegre is on target with a firm left hook.  
Alvarenga pivots to the left of his opponent.  Alegre throws a left hook, but Alvarenga holds on to his opponent.  Alvarenga is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Alvarenga about fouling.  
Alvarenga lands a jab.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Alvarenga's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid. Alegre's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

Alegre stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Alvarenga lands two jab's to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Alvarenga hits home with a cross.  
Alvarenga lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Alegre closes the distance and throws a right uppercut, but Alvarenga clinches his opponent.  Alvarenga throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Alvarenga is looking to keep his distance.  Alvarenga sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Alvarenga steps to the outside and hits home with a hard jab.
