Hugh Berwick vs Diego Amante

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 31/10/2039 from Leeds, UK:

The Leeds venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Hugh Berwick (30(3) - 9) who hails from Bury, UK and Diego Amante(1 - 6(1)) from Caracas, Venezuela.  

Round 1: 

Amante lands a right uppercut followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Berwick lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Berwick lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Berwick steps inside and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Amante attempts to land a right hook, but Berwick slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Amante tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Amante lands a sharp cross.  
Amante digs in a stinging left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Amante is looking to close the distance.  Berwick throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Berwick ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Berwick pushes his forearm into Amante's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Berwick about fouling.  
Berwick tries to keep the action at long range.  Amante throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Berwick time to recover.  
Amante closes the distance.  Amante quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Berwick is on target with a left hook.  Berwick clinches his opponent.  Berwick leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Berwick drives a left hook into Amante's body.  Berwick clinches his opponent.  Berwick leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Amante gets on the inside and walks Berwick down, trapping him in a corner.  Berwick lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Amante quickly recovers. 
Berwick tries to step out of his opponents range.  Berwick quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a firm cross.  
Berwick lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Berwick is on target with a powerful left uppercut to his opponents liver.  IT LOOKS LIKE AMANTE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Amante recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Berwick connects with a stinging cross.

Berwick tries to step out of his opponents range.  Amante tries to land a cross, but Berwick blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Berwick is on target with a solid cross.  
Amante steps inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Berwick tries to step out of his opponents range.  Berwick feints a jab, and then lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Amante hits home with a firm cross.  
Berwick gets on the inside and is on target with a left uppercut to Amante's body.  
Berwick is on target with a jab.  
Amante pivots from in front of his opponent.  Amante attempts to land a jab, but Berwick sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Amante is looking to close the distance.  Berwick lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  Berwick holds on to his opponent.  Berwick leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Berwick's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Berwick sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Amante lands a stiff jab.

Amante is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but Berwick holds on to his opponent.  Berwick tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Amante behind the head. 
Berwick finds the target with a jab.  
Berwick tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Berwick digs in a solid right uppercut to Amante's ribcage.  
Berwick is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Amante gets on the inside.  Berwick whips in a hurtful left uppercut to Amante's ribs.  AMANTE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Berwick clinches his opponent.  Amante is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  Amante recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
