Joseph Gath vs Mateusz Groszek

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 24/10/2039 from Nassau, Bahamas:

The Nassau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Joseph Gath (40 - 8) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Mateusz Groszek(18 - 24) from Czestochowa, Poland.  

Round 1: 

Groszek attempts to land a cross, but Gath slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Groszek sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Groszek tries to land a jab, but Gath slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

Gath tries to keep the action at long range.  Gath sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.

Gath steps to the outside.  Gath lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Groszek throws an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Gath stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Groszek throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Groszek tries to keep the action at long range.  Groszek sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Gath lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.

Groszek forces Gath to retreat onto the ropes.  Groszek throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Groszek is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Gath digs in a solid left hook to Groszek's body.  
Groszek steps inside.  Gath digs in a sharp left hook to Groszek's body.  
Gath throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Gath clinches his opponent.  Groszek is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Groszek closes the distance and throws a left uppercut, but Gath clinches his opponent.  Gath pushes his forearm into Groszek's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Gath.  
Gath voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Groszek steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Groszek lands a stinging jab.
