Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 16/10/2039 from Mexico City, Mexico:

The Mexico City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Gonzalo Soza (25 - 14) who hails from Mexico City, Mexico and Orlando Rubi(0 - 6) from Saltillo, Mexico.  

Round 1: 

Soza drives a jab into his opponents body.

Rubi tries to land a cross, but Soza sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Rubi is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook.  
Soza steps away from his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Rubi connects with a right uppercut.  
Soza tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab to the head, a cross to the body and a jab to the head.  
Soza hits home with a cross.  
Rubi lands a jab.  
Rubi gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut.  Rubi throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Soza's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win. Rubi's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Soza lands a cross to the body followed by a overhand left to the head.  
Soza is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Rubi lands a solid cross.  
Soza sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross, overhand left and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Soza is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Soza clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Rubi pushes his forearm into Soza's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Rubi is looking to close the distance.  Soza throws a right uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Soza holds on to his opponent.  Soza uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Rubi behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.
