Rob Kelly vs Dean McCaig

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 30/05/2039 from Sheffield, UK:

The Sheffield venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Rob Kelly (48 - 2) who hails from Norwich, UK and Dean McCaig(2 - 15) from Belfast, UK.  

Round 1: 

Kelly tries to step out of his opponents range and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.

Kelly steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  Kelly tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Kelly switches the action to the outside and connects with a firm cross.

McCaig walks Kelly down, trapping him on the ropes.  McCaig tries to land a right hook, but Kelly sidesteps and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Kelly steps to the outside and lands a solid jab.

McCaig throws a right hook, but Kelly ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Kelly pushes his forearm into McCaig's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kelly lands a jab to the head, a cross to the body and a cross to the head.  
McCaig gets on the inside.  McCaig pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Kelly is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a solid cross.  
Kelly drives a jab into McCaig's body.  
McCaig advances into close range and throws a left uppercut, but Kelly holds on to his opponent.  Kelly throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Kelly.
