Hisao Taira vs Shinji Sawada

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 22/05/2039 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Hisao Taira (37 - 5) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Shinji Sawada(0 - 1) from Fukuoka, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Taira is on target with a left hook.

Sawada drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  Taira clinches his opponent.  Sawada pushes his forearm into Taira's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sawada to stop fouling.  
Taira is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Taira feints a left, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents body.  
Taira lands a jab.  
Sawada gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Taira on the ropes.  Sawada sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Taira lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Taira throws a left hook, but is not on target.  Taira ties up his opponent.  Sawada leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Taira's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sawada quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Taira lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Taira steps away from his opponent and lands a solid jab.  
Taira feints a right hook, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Sawada pivots to the left of his opponent.  Taira throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Sawada time to recover.  
Sawada drives a firm right hook into Taira's ribcage.  Taira ties up his opponent.  Taira hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Taira is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Taira lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  Taira tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Taira connects with a firm cross.  
Taira lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Sawada closes the distance.  Taira lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Taira is looking to keep his distance.  Sawada attempts to land an overhand left, but Taira sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.
