Sammy Hangombe vs Deion Simutowe

Boxing Daily Report from the Zambia National Finals 2039,  taking place on 02/05/2039 from Lusaka, Zambia:

The Lusaka venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Sammy Hangombe (24(5) - 20) who hails from Kitwe, Zambia and Deion Simutowe(13 - 12) from Lusaka, Zambia.  

Round 1: 

Hangombe lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Hangombe closes the distance and digs in a solid right hook to Simutowe's ribs.  
Hangombe pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Hangombe throws a left uppercut, but is unable to find the target.  Hangombe ties up his opponent.  Hangombe is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Hangombe pushes his forearm into Simutowe's face.  The referee warns Hangombe and breaks the clinch.  
Simutowe advances into close range.  Hangombe lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Simutowe connects with a sharp left hook.  
Hangombe drives a right hook into Simutowe's body.  Hangombe holds on to his opponent.  Hangombe leans on his opponent using all his weight. Hangombe throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Simutowe quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Hangombe lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hangombe lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Hangombe is on target with a telling left hook to Simutowe's body.  DOWN GOES SIMUTOWE!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Simutowe now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Hangombe walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Simutowe attempts to land a left hook, but Hangombe slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Simutowe digs in a sharp right hook to Hangombe's body.  
Hangombe is on target with a firm right hook to Simutowe's ribs.  
Simutowe throws a left uppercut, but Hangombe clinches his opponent.  Simutowe tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Hangombe behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Hangombe is on target with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Hangombe pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a weighty left hook to his opponents ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE SIMUTOWE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Hangombe thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Simutowe away.  Hangombe whips in a mean left uppercut to his opponents liver.  SIMUTOWE IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  It looks like Simutowe has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Simutowe lands a cross.  
Simutowe throws a right hook, but Hangombe ties up his opponent.  Hangombe is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Simutowe hits home with a right hook.  Hangombe ties up his opponent.  Hangombe is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Hangombe quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a solid left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Hangombe lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Hangombe clinches his opponent.  Simutowe pushes his forearm into Hangombe's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Simutowe.  
Hangombe lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND KNOCKS SIMUTOWE DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  Simutowe recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Hangombe advances into close range and is on target with a sharp left hook to Simutowe's body.  
Hangombe steps inside and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Hangombe pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hangombe lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Hangombe sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Simutowe throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hangombe forces Simutowe to retreat onto the ropes.  Hangombe is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Simutowe is on target with a left hook.  
Hangombe attempts to land a right hook, but Simutowe parries the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Hangombe lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Hangombe ties up his opponent.  Hangombe leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Hangombe's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Hangombe advances into close range and is on target with a right uppercut to Simutowe's ribs.  
Hangombe drives a left hook into Simutowe's body.  
Hangombe lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Simutowe throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Hangombe is looking to close the distance and drives a sharp right hook into Simutowe's body.  SIMUTOWE IS HURT!  Hangombe tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Hangombe stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Hangombe lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body, KNOCKING SIMUTOWE DOWN!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Hangombe!
