Hilario Alcantar vs Fresco Gutierez

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 03/04/2039 from Ponce, Puerto Rico:

The Ponce venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Hilario Alcantar (41 - 12) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Fresco Gutierez(2 - 5) from Córdoba, Argentina.  

Round 1: 

Alcantar is looking to close the distance.  Gutierez lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Alcantar gets on the inside and is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Gutierez pivots to the left of his opponent, but Alcantar lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Gutierez switches the action to the outside and lands a jab.  
Gutierez throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Alcantar steps away from his opponent.  Alcantar feints a cross, tricking Gutierez into launching a left hook counter.  Alcantar is waiting for the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Alcantar advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Alcantar sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a firm right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Gutierez is looking to keep his distance.  Gutierez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Alcantar lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Alcantar steps inside.  Alcantar quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Gutierez hits home with a left hook.  
Gutierez throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Gutierez pivots to the side of his opponent.  Gutierez throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Alcantar switches the action to the outside.  Alcantar sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Alcantar steps inside.  Gutierez connects with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Alcantar's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Alcantar lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Gutierez lands with a sharp jab.  Gutierez throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.
