The Brisbane venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Chris Proudfoot (26 - 18(1)) who hails from Gold Coast, Australia and Joseph Athans(0 - 4) from Melbourne, Australia.  

Round 1:

Athans quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.

Athans waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Proudfoot lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Proudfoot advances into close range and drives a firm left hook into his opponents ribs.  Proudfoot tries to land a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.

Athans throws a right hook, but Proudfoot holds on to his opponent.  Proudfoot is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Proudfoot to stop fouling.  
Proudfoot manouvers Athans into the corner.  Proudfoot lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Proudfoot holds on to his opponent.  Proudfoot tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Athans behind the head. The ref breaks Proudfoot's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
