Arthur Dower vs John Carrick

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 25/10/2038 from Charleston, USA:

The Charleston venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Arthur Dower (3 - 12) who hails from Columbia, USA and John Carrick(0 - 2) from Coral Springs, USA.  

Round 1: 

Dower steps inside and lands a right hook.  
Dower manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Dower pivots to the left of his opponent, but Carrick lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Carrick hits home with a right hook.  
Dower forces Carrick to retreat onto the ropes.  Dower pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Dower manouvers Carrick into the corner.  Dower throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Carrick's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Dower lands a cross.  
Dower is looking to close the distance.  Dower sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Carrick lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Carrick lands a solid right hook.  
Carrick digs in a left uppercut to Dower's ribs.  
Carrick drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Dower attempts to land a jab, but Carrick slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Carrick lands a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Carrick's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.

Dower closes the distance.  Dower pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Dower is on target with a jab.  
Dower lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Carrick is looking to keep his distance.  Dower lands a cross.  
Carrick tries to keep the action at long range and lands a solid cross.  
Carrick digs in a left hook to Dower's ribs.  
Dower advances into close range.  Carrick connects with a right hook.  
Dower lands a cross.
