Paul Scroggin vs Brendan Awere

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 24/10/2038 from Minneapolis, USA:

The Minneapolis venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Paul Scroggin (28(2) - 6) who hails from Saint Paul, USA and Brendan Awere(6 - 4) from Takoradi, Ghana.  

Round 1: 

Scroggin steps inside.  Awere tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

Scroggin is looking to close the distance and drives a stinging right hook into Awere's body.

Scroggin steps inside.  Scroggin sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Scroggin lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Scroggin ties up his opponent.  Scroggin is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Scroggin is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Scroggin is looking to close the distance.  Awere throws a right uppercut, but Scroggin clinches his opponent.  Scroggin leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Scroggin is looking to close the distance and tries to land a left hook, but Awere slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Scroggin closes the distance.  Awere hits home with a left uppercut.  Scroggin ties up his opponent.  Scroggin leans on his opponent using all his weight. Awere is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Scroggin tries to land a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Scroggin walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Scroggin sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.

Awere pivots to the left of his opponent.  Awere attempts to land a left uppercut, but Scroggin blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Scroggin advances into close range.  Scroggin pivots to the left of his opponent, but Awere connects with a right hook.  
Scroggin lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Scroggin drives a left hook into Awere's body.  
Scroggin manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Awere connects with a right uppercut.  Scroggin ties up his opponent.  Scroggin pushes his forearm into Awere's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Scroggin is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  Scroggin ties up his opponent.  Awere pushes his forearm into Scroggin's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Scroggin lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Scroggin lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Scroggin hits home with a solid left hook.  
Scroggin lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.

The right shot from Scroggin could be enough to force the stoppage!  Scroggin lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS AWERE TO THE CANVAS!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Scroggin!
